A typical day of fishing in the flats yields about 10-15 fish, a GREAT day is 30!

Roundtrip airfare from Honolulu to Christmas Island ranges from $1050-1085. If you book through the Alaska Fly Shop, cost of airfare also includes Medevac Insurance (great bonus!)

6. Why should I go to Christmas Island over somewhere else?

Christmas Island is the best value for a tremendous fly fishing vacation. Treat yourself to a world class fly fishing experience!

"Whether you’re a novice or an experienced salt water fly fisher, Christmas Island is the place for you! A dozen or more bonefish per day is common.

You’re also likely to catch wahoo, different varieties of trevalli - including the spectacular giant trevalli - tuna, and other salt water varieties.

Exotic and affordable, this Piscean utopia is accessed from Honolulu weekly. Accommodations are clean and airconditioned. The staff is friendly and competent.

Many people return year after year. If you’ve never fished an exotic location, this is the place to start. If you ‘ve fished elsewhere, this should be your next destination." - Joe Faulhaber
