The Fairbanks area has some of the best road-accessible grayling fishing on the North American continent. Within a hour to an hour-and-a-half's drive on good roads one can be fishing beautiful freestone drainages or a spring creek.

For most of the season grayling are typically fished for with light rods, 000 to five weight, floating lines, and dry flies. The fishing can be outstanding.

The Alaska Fly Shop has the largest selection of grayling flies in Alaska, and we can provide up-to-date information on water conditions and fish movements within the respective drainages.
